Malaysia Boleh

When Lee Chong Wei smashed thru the badminton arena of Beijing olympics to enter the mens singles the whole Malaysia regardless of being malay, chinese, indian or other race came together in supporting a Malaysian regardless of race because the Malaysian pride was at stake. when the mens final took place it was the golden opportunity for Malaysia either to get a silver or a gold medal, a feat never attained before in the men singles event of the olympics by any Malaysian. Every living mortal was either glued to their tv or watching the game live at food outlets, pubs etc.
We will celebrate our 51st Merdeka in two weeks time and its time we trace each other communities contribution in the development of this great nation Malaysia. In the country rich in multi-ethinicity we should respect each other community and a level playing field should be in place in the area of sports, education and employment etc. Only thru this we can be a competitive nation with best brains in all competencies.... our assets...human capital. Recently many quarters have raise issues on the UITM being open to non bumiputeras.Lets look at it logically, its open to foreigners but not to its own non bumiputera citizens. No one is questioning the special rights of the Malays but wouldn't allowing non malays create competitions and raise the bar of UITM's standing as an excellent educational institution. again to protect the Malays special rights ,the intake can always be restricted to a small percentage. If it is "kerana mu Malaysia" racial tolerance in the name of educational competitiveness can definitely be a reality... cos of the spirit "Malaysia Boleh"
